Hello Everybody Just looking for some information about what is the best way to get my mail forwarded to me in the Philippines once I retire there. Any help would greatly be appreciated Mike K
This one has also been discussed recently. If you have family you can have them forward it for you. There are also services that can do this for you for a fee. User the forum search feature for more details and information.
Had a problem finding old thread so will throw this in. We have PMB in states (private mail box), official address for banks, credit cards, funeral homes, taxes, etc. Or easily could be trusted sibling (oxymoron) or relative. Here, we have box at Dumaguete City Post Office, although much slower during covid. Used to ship stuff there. Use house address for LBC, NinjaVan, FedEx (for emergencies). Local FedEx and DHL are excellent and the fastest, but horrendously expensive, especially since Philippine Customs now uses them as a huge revenue source.
I use a service called physicaladdress.com They provide an actual address, and then before you move you submit a post office change of address to that address. When new mail comes in they scan the outside of the envelope and send an email to me. If I want I can then have them open and scan the contents and send that pdf to me. Then I can have them either trash it, save it, or forward it to another address (would be either my son or my accountant). Has worked great for me.
