Tried Max's and not worth it at all. Chicken is dry and no seasoning, lumpia served burnt and dipping sauce was liquid. Fountain drinks were warm and no fizz. No second chance for me, KFC by far superior.
I don't recall ever eating at Max's but every time I've had chicken at KFC it has been bloody (minus the Zinger sandwiches). KFC in the Phils falls far short of the quality and taste you find in the US. For fried chicken I prefer Jollibee. It's certainly no Church's Chicken but it's the closest you'll find in the Phils IMO.
Years ago I visited a Max resto in CDO. It was the first time and the last time. Nowadays, nothing has changed for the better, reading the quoted post.
