    Hi Folks,
    I'm gonna be movin' your way from California first of the year. I'm wondering if any US expats are on Medicare, and if so, how it works for us from there.

    AFAIK No Medicare here, you'll have to fly back to the US or Guam for serious treatment.

    But to tell you the truth, if you try and take care of your health here, most minor ailments and dental can comfortably be paid out of pocket.

    Medical care here is not a ripp-off like in the US.

    Subic/Olongapo area

    some Dental and Hospital in Subic and Olongapo area cater to expats and retired servicemen Medicare.

    Thats not Medicare, thats Tricare.

    Yes, Melvin you are right that's TRICARE not Medicare. Not only retired servicemen are eligible for TRICARE, but also their dependents are under that program, too. enjoying the fringe benefit from UNCLE SAM.

    That true Swany, but it's part of the package a person gets for putting their life on the line for freedom and justice. (supposedly)

    At less than minimum wage.
