We are happily looking forward to moving away from our insane neighbors and are in need of a truck with helpers to move our household things. The one service we have from before wants 1800 Php per trip with a 14 ft long truck. That would take us 2 trips. So I thought I would ask if anyone knows a local service to move us locally.

I will clarify my statement by adding Criminally Insane people.
Well at least the place we live now does not have a all night Videoke full of drunken shabu addicts and so far no one has pulled a gun on us like at the last place. I would suggest anyone who is looking at the Candau-ay area particularly the Casa Alicia subdivision. Please reconsider. The Brgy hall is corrupted with these people along with the local PNP who you should not ever depend on like you would a police officer from your home country.

Received notification from Robinson Land last night that my Cebu condo will be ready for inspection / turnover on Dec. 3rd. Now looking for a moving truck with some guys that can move my large refrigerator and a few dozen balikbayan boxes from Dumaguete to Cebu. Any recommendations??

Have also given though to renting a truck and moving it myself, but I certainly cannot move the refrigerator myself!

One way to move the ref is to wrap it in cardboard and put it on the boat to Cebu then pick it up at the Cebu pier. Then you only need a local truck and you save the rough ride on a cargo truck. You could check at the Du ek sam for some heavy ref boxes

Hmm... that's a good idea! I still have the box that it arrived in, along with the styrofoam. I'll ponder that! Thanks!
