need help to find an attorney for adoption

    hello everyone, i am in need to find a lawyer for adoption, my case is i am now living in US and my sister dont know where to find a lawyer so im trying to get someone from here, dont know what to do and where to start for this case, i would appreciate every efort to evry respond i will get thank you soo much.......

    thanks, i am from bacong, my adopted (not legal) is my niece whom i left to my parents, we've been planning to get her here but we dont know where to start, so im gonna need a lawyer for adoption, i would appreciate if you could give me his or her full name and address and phone #, i have my family there who can help me with the papers but they just dont know whom they go....thanks

    You will find that you will have to comply with both Philippine and US adoption laws. Respectively, in order to do so you will need a lawyer competent in international adoptions. To begin with, if the child is not your step child you will have to prove that the child has lived with you for two years.

    Good luck, the task ahead of you is a daunting one.

    Have you found help yet? If not I can suggest a lawyer who can handle adoptions

    This requirement has been changed to "legal custody" for two years.
