Might be worth a read: I had a hard time reading on my phone, but thought I would share.

Much ado about little... if the parent(s) are U.S. citizens and the child is born abroad and the parent(s) meet the requirements listed then they will still receive auto citizenship, if not the they will have to apply with U.S.C.I.S and go through same procedure that I did 2 years ago....

Seems like they should focus on more interesting topics like anchor babies (where both parents are non-citizens).

    • Warning issued. To not talk about politics on the main forum.
This is another example of American leftist news intentionally inferring something that is not true to make Trump look bad. Most American voters are not stupid (although many are) and they get it. The re-election of Trump will show that more than half of the voters do not buy into fake news of a media trying to manipulate them. The lesson here is to read the entire news, not just the misleading headlines.

    • Warning issued. Politics again.
They will not do that because the leftist narrative supports uncontrolled immigration that leads to US citizenship and ultimately voting for left wing democrat causes. Notice they do not support uncontrolled immigration from Cuba, whose people vote against the left wing and tend to be conservative. For them, Clinton and Obama made up the wet foot dry foot policy where they send illegals back if one foot is still in the water. Total hypocrisy.

    • Warning issued. Stop with the politics. You will get banned.
My read, if wiki is correct, is that Clinton made it more difficult because the person had to have one foot on the shore, where before it was just in territorial waters, thus leading to less immigration as you say. It sounds like Obama removed that restriction in 2017 and made it easier because it changed back to the territorial waters again. This would make it easier for the conservative Cubans to immigrate, so Obama was helping the right. :sneaky:

The wet feet, dry feet policy or wet foot, dry foot policy is the name given to a former interpretation of the 1995 revision of the application of the Cuban Adjustment Act of 1966 that essentially says that anyone who emigrated from Cuba and entered the United States would be allowed to pursue residency a year later. Prior to 1995, the U.S. government allowed all Cubans who reached U.S. territorial waters to remain in the U.S. After talks with the Cuban government, the Clinton administration came to an agreement with Cuba that it would stop admitting people intercepted in U.S. waters. For two decades thereafter, any Cuban caught on the waters between the two nations (with "wet feet") would summarily be returned to Cuba or sent to a third country, while one who made it to shore ("dry feet") got a chance to remain in the United States, and later would qualify for expedited "legal permanent resident" status in accordance with the 1966 Act and eventually U.S. citizenship. In January 2017, Barack Obama announced the immediate end of the policy the Thursday before his term expired.

Wikipedia says (and who is to disbelieve them): "Monkeys, including apes, can be distinguished from other primates by having only two pectoral nipples, a pendulous penis, and a lack of sensory whiskers"

So I am a monkey also

    • You are already banned but here is another warning point
Very interesting given that Barack Obama was no longer President in 2017. In 2017 it was President Trump (thank God).
