No more Philippine Airlines in Dumaguete starting Oct. 28

    From the grapevine, if all goes to plan; Philippine Airlines will no longer be serving Dumaguete. Instead, PAL Express will take over from PAL. And starting Oct. 28, PAL will only serve Cebu, Davao, Bacolod, Iloilo, Kalibo, Tagbilaran and Gen. Santos. The rest of the current PAL destinations will be served by PAL Express.

    It looks to me like PAL is still in Dgte then..?

    This could be good news, PAL Express is about half the cost of PAL.

    Untill now, Pal Express has no website, Airphil Express has no flights between Manila and Dumaguete, for December you still can book a flight between Manila and Dumaguete on the website of Philippine Airlines.

    Announcement will be made by September 28(?)... but the shift was already confirmed by the DGT Station people of PR... and that they are now starting the transition... it will only be bookable once the Winter Timetable of PR is released... this has been dubbed as Project Winter by Philippine Airlines... their fleet and route rationalization plan...

    Pal will only be up to October 27....

    This is the New Schedule to be operated by AirPhil Express

    Manila-Dumaguete
    PR 541 8:45-10:10 A320
    PR 543 13:40- 14:05 A320

    Dumaguete - Manila
    PR 542 10:40- 11:55 A320
    PR 544 15:50- 17:05 A320

    still bookable via the website of Philippine Airlines but it will only be economy class and operated by Airphil/PAL Express

    Received a correction to our flight Manila - Duma 6 Nov today by e-mail: Philippine Arlines flight is cancelled, flight (same departure time) now operated by Air Philippines
