I've made a wrong purchase and have an original "Petromax" (see Google) purchased for use as emergency lighting. But for the purpose as an emergency light to complicated to start up. The price I paid for the "Petromax" was PHP 2450.00 I'v used him only ones to try out and sell him for a fair offer.
Hi ej- is your petromax still available ? im interested, maybe it will come handy on brownouts...but I am living in Manila.
Is it the modell HK500 or HK150? What is the height of the lamp? Does the lamp include all important parts such as incandescent mantles, rubber rings and gaskets for replacement or maintenance? What are the Start-Up complications you are having???????
Hello Ben, When we go shopping to the Hypermarket one of these days, I will bring the lamp with me and you can test and proof him for yourself without any obligation. Greetings from Linda & Eeuwe
Hello again, I spoke to my wife and she do not like the lamp during brownouts. She told me about the complications to start it up, the heat from the lamp when used indoors and also the smoke. Thanks anyway my friend, we feel that flash lights will do for now. See you on on the 23rd. Have a wonderful day in the rain! Ben
Hi ejboerma- Maybe your not interested to sell your petromax to a non Dumaguete resident ? ;-) I really don't know if you have missed my post, but trying again anyway.
