    I'm in the market for an split air-con. From reading previous posts here I would like to purchase at Polaris but I will only purchase with a credit card (getting P50k+ in cash is a pain and would take days or cost me a lot in exchange/service fees). Do they accept cards?

    If not where would be the next best option? Robinsons? Lee Plaza? Citi Hardware? Uymatiao? A place that can deliver and do a proper install is also a requirement.

    They do not accept credit cards. I tried a couple of weeks ago.
    They will accept ATM cards but there will be no discount.

    I'm guessing an ATM card is a debit card? How much of a discount do they give for cash?

    I usually get around 3%. I say around because they will knock off the pesos and a couple thousand more.

    Thanks. I'm not that concerned with 1-2k pesos. Hopefully they accept foreign debit cards/ATM (whatever they want to call them here) cards.

    If there is another business that accepts credit/debit cards that has a guy that can install (properly) I would be interested in hearing about them too.

    Do they have a competent guy contracted to install ACs?

    Bought ours at Centrum. Their installation team did a very good and professional job. Paid for on card (Visa)

    I used my Visa card at Polaris--I think they did not give a discount which they would if you paid with cash.

    I tried to use my Master Card to buy an aircon and they wouldn't accept it. A cancelled flight got refunded and Master Card told me I could take the credit as a Cash Advance and settle that at months end. I was damned if I was going to pay them a fee to get my own money into my own hands. On a happy note. I bought a new NMax from the Yamaha dealer on my credit card. They charged me 2.5% but that's okay because it was my choice. I really like the bike. I can go places in style, if I had somewhere to go.

    DuEkSam has split type air conditioners. They sell the Samsung brand. You can get the inverter type to save on your electric bill.

    I do not know if they accept credit cards. Nor do I know about their installers.
