Anyone have any thoughts and recommendations around renting out a house in the Dumaguete? Are there property managers there? Any things to watch out for? Any property manager you would recommend? Best way to find a tenant? Thanks.

My landlord has had a few property managers in the past that lasted for a few months each. Seems that it is hard to find one that doesn't like to gossip about tenants movements and guests around the barangay or one that knows how to properly deal with giving out utility bills or collecting rent. I think finding an experienced/qualified property manager is going to be magnitudes harder than finding a good helper.

Talking to the wife's retired siblings or granny might be a thing to look in to. (If the family isn't the mooching type.)
