I want to buy a new small motor bike and break it in so my wife can learn to ride it in a couple of months. At her 5' 100 pounds, the lighter the scooter the better. Would you recommend a Honda Wave or a similar Yamaha or ? Thanks

As I am always skeptical with women and any kind of technical equipment (thats why they still fly on brooms and not on vacuum cleaner) here my recommendation. It is not about the bike, but the safety :

We were looking at the "Honda Beat", it looked like a real good little machine for a beginner.
Also Yamaha has a scooter with retro lights and instruments. I forget the name but you'll notice if you see one, they're uniquely funky.

too funny, also good for safe sex:D

Pat, possibly one of those twist and go scooters, no shifting required and very easy for a lady to handle.

Thanks Rhoody, do you know where I can order one of them for myself? After three prior bike dumps I need one of those while I break in my wife's little bike. No pictures please.

Manza, Jack, Ron, Rhoody, thanks, will have a look around next week.
To Kenny's point, the baby will never ride on the bike, spot on for the reason for needing a car.

Whilst living in Shanghai the number of electric mopeds outweighed petrol versions probably 20 or 30:1.
The price of the electric ones was also really cheap, relative to petrol.
What's the situation/% ration in Duma?

The Yamaha Mio 113 cc scooter is easy to handle and is great for city driving. If you want a bike that saves you on gas then I'd go for the Honda Wave100.
