The thread on the electric jeepney got my wierd mind thinking, actually thought of this a long time ago, but lately I have rekindeled the synapses.
Why not redesign the trike we all love to hate as foreigners, and maybe Filipinos too.
    Goal objectives:

    • light weight

    • as cheap as current design(the real challenge)

    • fuel efficient
    • smaller footprint

    • everyone will love it

I actually have a suitale motor bike to start with, and just maybe this can be a fun experiment. maybe a good project for an engineering class at Silliman, bring the knowledge to bear on the local community.

Something between these two types, borrowing from both... see next post

You never know where this might lead to......

RHB , Did you know that the famours carbuilder JAGUAR started out JUST as on your pictures ????? They used Austin Motors and build some kind of sidecar .. They were actually named SS ,but changed their name for obvious reasons during the Second World War into Jaguar , as their best selling model was named like that.
Who knows what your invention may lead to ...

Perhaps the : Dumaguete Landauer ??

BMW did some interesting three-wheelers after the war when petrol was very scarce. Seen pictures yonks ago...and being German they would have done it right. Now if a Chinese factory would clone it.....

Except that your pic is an early model BSA I believe.
But anway, I have researched some ideas to improve handling, won't be my invention, just recombinate BSA, joke...

If there is any interst or potential input here I might continue the post with developements, or otherwise quietly toil as time and money dictates. Technical topics may not be de rigueur here.

Hmmm. The tank looks Triumph...but certainly could be BSA ( a gem maker along with Royal Enfield)....Looks a 500cc thumper though...and would be a handful at 100k's +...

I have had a lot of experience in the distant past with brit bikes, love em or hate em.
Anyway this project will be if it goes, centered around the readily available 150cc thumper , cause I have one, and gives a bench mark for comparison.
