Just seen on BBC News: Feeder flights from Cebu, Bohol, Palawan on Tuesday. Two Phil Air Flights from Manila to UK later that day. Cost $1000 but credit available if necessary. Preference given to susceptible cases. No info on how to get from Negros to Bohol or Cebu. Anyone interested should contact the UK Embassy in Manila.
Did you see the post that said only hospital accepting patients in Dumaguete is a public hospital that has no ventilators? Be safe.
I'm staying put, here I am confined to property, BUT have large garden, GF and things to do. Only problem now in Dauin no alcohol can be purchased. so no more cold beer. Back in UK the worst is yet to come, only have upstairs apartment, would be hell!
That announcement date was wrong by a day. This morning, April 8th, Philippines Air Asia charter swept up the last folks from the UK and Germany before flying on to Surigao City before returning to Manila. Cargo flights by PAL Express, Cebgo and Air Swift are in the air today going to various provinces in the Visayas and Mindinao. Air Swift is landing at the airport now. Don't know if it is bringing cargo or is repatriating folks. shakey aka John
