    Im running win8.1 with as little menu possible to have more view screen. The site here has about one inch of dead space following the banner and the top of the first thread on any page..well there is one line..then about well..really on this 15 inch screen about 1.25 inches.. So no matter what I read ..I have to scroll first.. I see no use for the dead space..and know no reason to have it structed thus.. Im a Graphic Designer with too many years of design to list but actually it just bugs me to see that dead space and I must scroll..Lazzzy? dunno..maybe..but I suggest you close it up.. its a little thing..thx

    What browser are you running? And do you happen to be running some sort of adblocker add-on? That inch of space under the forum options is for ads. You should see an ad there and below the "Posting Permissions" and "Bookmarks" section at the bottom of the page.

    If you are running an adblocker it should give you an option to unblock ads for the current site you are on. I think this might be the cause for the blank space. Either that or you are running an outdated browser and need to update.
