    Ever since that last big update a forum search comes back with results as normal, plus a 80% of the screen size pop-up with google search ads on top followed by the same form search results. I am using a one year old HP i7 Laptop, Win10, Chrome. (also does the same thing on IE or whatever MS calls its browser now)

    Not sure why it does that. The Google search engine for the site is a bit more reliable/on-topic than the standard forum search feature (all forum software search engines are complete crap IMO). If you just use the "DI Full Site Search" that is top center of every page you won't be taken to the forum search page.
