Hi Has anyone had any experience sending a package to themselves at Dumaguete post office, and then collecting it on arrival? I'm hoping to do this as I have too much to carry. Thanks for your help.
I'm sure the can do that. If you have some time constraints that require the package to be delivered by a specific date I personally wouldn't risk it.
The Dumaguete post office will hold packages for you (not sure for how long), they have a storage area upstairs. I received a package that took a long time at Manila inspection than was shipped by boat from Manila to Dgte so as indicated earlier be in no hurry. A good thing is the Dgte P.O. can track the shipment and tell you where it is if you give thm a tracking number.
Thanks for your advice. It won't be sent internationally, so no customs which should speed it up. I'll make some enquiries with the post office there.
If you are not sending it Internationally, I will assume, maybe incorrectly, that you are sending it from in country. If you want a more secure way than the Post Office send it by LBC or JRS and have it delivered to your address, no need to pick it up.
CONTACT Atlas Shipping and send Balikbayan to an address better and cheaper. Priced by box size rather than weight. 2 months to arrive. Can pickup at DGT warehouse.
Just a suggestion....maybe you could have it sent to somebody who is already in Dumaguete to hold onto for you? I am sure you would have no problems finding someone to do that for you. The post office staff was actually pretty accommodating to us when we lived there, but I personally would have it sent to someone to hold onto until you arrive.
Yes, I'm sending it from Davao. But I can't send it to my address in Dumaguete because I don't have one yet, and won't have one until I arrive and find a place to live.
I believe you can send it to the LBC in Robinsons to pick up there or at the warehouse on South Road Banilad
