    Hi! My daughter wants to give me a brand new window aircon. I am trying to decide if it will be more cost effective to ship it via Balikbayan vs buying a unit it the PI

    No, it won't be cost effective to ship it. The voltage and Hz (cycles) that the Philippines uses are different from the U.S. also, if that is where it is coming from.

    I agree over all cheaper to get one here, especially considering the loss when using a transformer , KDF is correct regarding the voltage, except U.S. and here are both 60Hz
