The Next Typhoon Heading This Way?

It looks like it is still a ways off, but heading in this direction. Hopefully it will make dramatic shift to the north before it gets to the Philippines as some of the other typhoons have done.

 

At its present speed 10 days? I wouldn't be too concerned about it, but it always pays to keep a look out, especially if you plan on doing any traveling. Historically Negros, especially Southern Negros, usually dodges the bullet.

I'll be keeping an eye on it, but it won't be a real issue until it develops into one of these...

Er, at least at that point we can all get a good laugh out of it.

 

It's still a long way off. Let's hope and pray it shifts north and stays out to sea as a lot of the typhoons do here.

 

I have already bought some empty rice bags to fill them with soil and use to protect house from water. They are cheap and do not take too much space when empty. So if anyone suffered from Sendong last year - it is better to be prepared this time because the 24-hour rainfall accumulation near the center of Bopha is estimated to be 35 cm.

 

It looks as though it is projected to veer North as most of the typhoons here do.
