⌛ Thursday Club - Calindagan Elementary School

We finished our first project, our goal is to support kids in need. Our plan for the first project was to provide school supplies for the elementary school in one of the poorest Barangays in Dumaguete.

But it did not stop there... We decided to participate also in the schools brigada eskwela 2011.

That's a week in public schools where teacher, pupils and parents clean up and fix stuff.

We did some paint jobs, fixings, replacing broken lights in classrooms etc. Some TC-members brought even their friends, others their local helpers to support our goals.

The whole event can't be better summed up like in that little report my 10 year old wrote about the event:

It was a good day all round. Got wet, dry, dirty, painted, got cleaned up only to get painted again !!!!! but felt good about what we achieved at the end of the day.

Many thanks to all who donated time, effort, goods and funds. The time and effort was more than worthwhile, the goods were gratefully received and the money was well spent.
