If you are in the position I am in, a Philippines wife not a U.S. citizen and no SSN, you can file a form W7 along with your tax return and obtain a tax identification number for her and claim her as a spouse. Saved me money on my return.

Sure, if you want to give me your email, I will send you a copy of the W7 form which is the application for IRS individual taxpayer identification number. You will it out and put it in the front of your 1040 or whatever tax return you use. Simple process.
