Decided to buy a new washing machine, so I went to Robinsons Applicance Centre. Ye Gods. What they had on display seemed so antiquated that they could have been museum pieces. All of them top-loaders, some with separate spinners. They might have been state-of-the-art 40 years ago, but in todays world.......?

Can anyone please point me in the right direction to find a supplier who offers a choice of new, modern, front loading machines ?? I'm fed up with taking my undies down to the river and bashing them on a rock.:D

Roger, an alternative will be available soon:

Self Washing Underwear - When all else has failed, the lazy and hygienically challenged bachelor can turn to the wonders of science. Believe it or not there is soon to be a self washing fabric so you'll never have to wash your underwear! There's also a new spray on underwear designed for professional athletes that will will eventually be available to the public soon.

Rodge, you know the time-difference between here and Europe is about 7 hours ... and 40 years, so you got probably the up-to-date and latest models available.

For that "futuristic models" you probably need a trip to Cebu.

Broadside, I bought my LG top loading machine at robinsons about 3 months ago. Does a good job and no problems with it. It was about 11K pesos from memory.

Don't get a washing machine with metal housings here. They rust out and put rust all over your clothes. Salt water and humidity for too much for them.

    Cheers,
    Mark
