Unlike metropolitan cities, Dumaguete is more relaxed, and life here moves at a steady, calm pace. However, the City of Gentle People is not spared from the hustle and bustle of an urban town. Days can be stressful, and during times like these, the perfect way to wind down is a visit to the beautiful white sands of Manjuyod.

The best time to get there would be morning so the shoreline is visible. During low tide, the shore is submerged in clear sea water. But whether it be high or low tide, the pristine beauty of the cerulean water and fine, white sand persist to be seen nonetheless. For avid swimmers and divers, this is a perfect spot for an open water swim since the water is deep (really deep) and cool. The whole stretch of white sand is also covered in starfish, so be careful about where you step!

Yeah, December can be unpredictable for weather. You should be able to find a nice day to get out there though.

Curious where the turn off is from highway.

We were there today and tried a couple turn offs but just rocks and some black sand. Asking locals did not help.

Far easier to go to sandbar from bais, turn right opposite new market, follow road to bottom, turn left and after around 1.5 km turn left down the concrete jetty.
You can't see much of the sandbar from there but most of the boats run from the jetty.

Ah now we understand, you will need to get a boat out to the white sandbar Bruce. It's the only way to get there,I'm sure you have seen the cottages on stilts out in bais bay
Also if you want walk on the sandbar you will need to make sure it's a spring tide otherwise you will be wading knee deep in water.
You can get a boat from monjoyod or bais at the pier.

This should be a good number for the Manjuyod tourism office. 0917 622 4678
You should be able to get all the information you need from them.
