⌛ What do you miss most about the US/Europe/Australia?

Just wondering...
1. What do you miss most about the US/Europe/Australia?
2. What do you enjoy the most about being an expat in Dumaguete?
3. What's the most annoying aspect about living here?
4. Would you do it all over again, given the chance?
5. What brought you here in the first place?
6. Is there such a thing as a "Dumaguete moment?" As in, only in Duma could this happen.

1. The restrooms! The poor state of PI "comfort rooms" is my number one pet peeve here. But, I also miss fast, reliable internet, electricity that doesn't go off, orderly traffic and the ability to go into one store (say, a Wal-Mart Supercenter) and buy virtually everything I need in one place and it's always in-stock and 100% returnable.

2. Beautiful girls, friendly people, interesting expats, low costs.

4. Sure.

5. Lower crime, less traffic and pollution than in Cebu City.

6. Only in Dumaguete can you be in a relatively small provincial city and go to a bar like Edelweiss and be surrounded by a people representing at least a half dozen different nationalities nightly.

Yes, but with more asian women.

I've lived in Thailand for 5 years and soon in Duma.
when people used to ask that question my answer was always "My cat"

actually I don't miss much.
what I do miss is good service i.e. getting anything repaired in a timely fashion.

What I hate is they ALL LIE!!!

they will tell you anything to avoid a confrontation.

Ask for directions? they will give them to you weather they know where it is or not.

can you fix this? Yes... and they don't have a clue

I could go on and on but it will just get my blood pressure up and wont change anything.

But Id rather tough it out here than move back to the states.

WHY? Mostly the women. I'm 63, fat and got no hair but yet they still love me and they're young.

I can have 1,2 or 3 at a time if I want.

Am I a sex tourist? NO!!! I live here

 

miss vegemite, bundy rum, country music musters.... can live better on my pension and i dont have to have a big fat girl to cuddle with more hangups than a walk in w/drobe..... annoying. dickheads that stand in the doorway of the bus so no one can get in n out easy. over again.. spend my money more wisely, y i came here .. .women.... ,no big moment .

 

Without them killing each other and then the last one standing killing you?

 

one girl is more than i can handle well now.. im like a vintage car i rally 2 times a month and have to be started by hand...

 

Note Dude that he lives in Thailand, not the Phils. Thai girls are not possessed of the jealousy gene that is so pervasive in the Filipina DNA.

I think, Thai girls are easier to please than filipina girl. Filipina girls are more demanding, possesive,canning,selfish that they dont want to share the catch.and very very smart.. Thats why I read somewhere here in a thread that a lot of expat wants to go back to their country but cant, because their assets are owned now by the CARETAKER. So really i dont know, whos fooling who.. but remember, this is only my opinion and i could be wrong..
