When leaving Cebu on a Friday afternoon to come to Dumaguete, what time does the last Ceres bus of the day leave from the South Bus Terminal?

I do not remember the exact time, but I can tell you when they fill up THEY LEAVE.... If you come at the posted time for the last bus you more than likely find it has left already and you will be staying in Cebu another night... it has happened to me. I try to get the second or third to last bus leaving, which ensures me getting out of town that day.

I took a 6pm bus from Cebu to Dumaguete the last time I went....but, that was about 2 years ago, so the schedule may have changed. Here is a number I found for Cebu Ceres you might try to call to verify: +63.32.345-8650

I agree!! I would always show up very early to make sure I was able to get a seat...if you show up at last minute, you are screwed for that departure time.

It is quite common, that the Ceres are departing too early. Was once riding in a Ceres departing at 11:30 am while the schedule shows a departure at 12 nn.

Ceres run CONSTANTLY from ( no down hours) cebu to dumaguete, its the ferry schedule thats the drama

first ferry (matiao) is 4.30 am from bato-tampi, (also li-loan to subulan), both theses are ro-ro ferry

the fast ferry from tampi to bato and also the fast ferry from li-loan to sibulan are different babies entirely

they are dependent on the weather and have an hour or more between ferries, if you miss one you are stuck until the next ferry, and i Know for a fact they operate until 5.30 in the evening

so if its late to tampi or li-loan then head straight for the ro-ro ferry

if li-loan ro-ro, beware as they have two ferries operating from virtually the same pier
one goes to sibulan and one goes to siqijour

Great info. So I went on line and (wonder of wonders) they actually have a site to confirm this
Cebu South Bus Terminal Bus Schedules - Cebu Provincial Government

I have searched for this info online in the past and finally it is there. SO: What time does the 6pm bus get to the ferry and is the ferry still running at that time?

Four-hour trip. Here's a recent fb post by Maayo Shipping though I don't understand what they mean by "vice versa"... both ways simultaneously sailing?
I also don't understand what round trip means on the bound for Dumaguete in the link you shared.
    Please see the screenshots.

Vice versa means in this case that the shps are starting in both ports at the same time. A round trip means you ride one trip now and the returning trip later. In the case of that bus schedule I'm also confused.

Since when does the route Liloan - Sibulan exists? Because I did never experienced a Ceres using that ferry for Dumaguete on the route Cebu - DGTE.

Does the link say it leaves from Liloan? Ceres only takes the "ro-ro" from Bato to Tampi. The "ro-ro"from Liloan is only for private cars and small trucks.
