I have a couple old non-working iPads. One with non-fixable cracked screen, another died, can't fix. I am worried I may have confidential information on them. Any suggestions what to do with them?

Take the hard drive out and smash it with a hammer. Deleting stuff could still have information stored in the hard drive.
If you have problems taking the hd out ask a computer guy to do it.

    I don't know.
Likely some would say (Eco friendly up there own arse environmentalists) this is wrong, but I had an old broken Laptop I smashed this up with a club hammer then buried it deep in the garden.

I have put old sim cards and SD cards into the microwave - inside a plastic microwavable container. I may even have done that with a HD, but can't remember.

They tasted so good, with a little seasoning.
