We run a mobile food business and exhaust our local sources for ingredients like sauces we use in creating our own.

Sources like Robinson order a case a time just enough to fill a shelf but not enough for commercial uses. SM and Ayala locations in Cebu do the same.

The purchasing office in Lee Plaza will work with you as well as Yan-Yan to get the monthly quantities you need. Yan-Yan has their own trucks and bring stuff daily from Cebu and will call you when what you are looking for arrives.

Lee Plaza's buyer is in Manila and gathers up what has been ordered before shipping them down in containers. It takes a day or two to get it from the pier to their bodega ready for your pickup. Lee Plaza's buyer relies on the vendor of items to deliver them to their warehouse so it might take a month or more for it to arrive in Dumaguete if they can find a source.

S&R in Cebu has many of the products that you might be looking for in quantity at less than locally but there is cost getting it from Cebu to Dumaguete. Many of their house brands are good substitutes for what you are looking for which can be used in your recipes with minimal tweaking.

Communication is the key for finding something you like but is out of stock. Save the bottle or can of what you want and take it with you when you are dealing with purchasing people. English words for something is not necessarily the word picture another person translates in their mind while listening to you.
