We are renting and just got our first elec bill. I think I was told I can pay it at BDO instead of standing in line at the Noreco office.

Any other places to pay quickly?

Besides of paying your monthly electric bill every month, you also can make a deposit for several months in Noreco and "feed" your deposit so now and than.
It takes only a few minutes and you get a receipt of your payment.
Next time you "feed" your deposit you get the receipts of previous months.

I didn't even know you could pay at BDO....I wonder if that is any quicker then waiting at NORECO? Has anyone paid this way? I wish we could mail in our payments like in the U.S., or use a drop off box........

I don't think you can do that. at least you couldn't 4 weeks ago.

but you can "invest" a few peso to swap numbers with one who does not have to do anything the whole day anyway, or give the guards 5 peso to text you when it is 10 to your number.

An alternative, and surely beats sitting in Dgte Noreco to pay a bill, go to the Bacong Noreco pay station in the public market, then head on down to Mikes Resort for lunch (10 min) and still make it back home before you would sitting in line at Dgte Noreco.

    text

Now, I like the idea of giving the guard 5 pesos to txt, while I run other errands I need to run!! Hadn't even thought of asking them to do that!! Thanks, Rhoody!!

Yes, giving the guard a tip so he'll text you is an excellent idea. My self-esteem just dropped a notch due to not having thought of that myself years ago.

My wife went and paid. It didn't take too long. They told her she could pay at any bank, and LBC.
