Mifune Japanese Food and Bar

This was my first visit to the Mifune Japanese Food and Bar restaurant and it won’t be my last. Before entering we weren’t sure of what to expect but as we settled on a table by the window we were greeted by our very knowledgeable server who helped explain the diverse menu. With a great understanding of what was on offer she acquainted us with it in a professional and cheerful manner. Within a minute or two a delicious complimentary salad arrived which gave us the opportunity to get to grips with the chopsticks. Ordering Miso Ramen, Salmon Sushi and a Seafood Yakisoba we relaxed in the calming atmosphere and enjoyed the understated music.

While we were waiting for our orders to arrive we had the added benefit of watching the skilled chef at work on the center floor teppanyaki table, which billowed with the fragrant aromas of the ingredients. Soon after, our orders arrived and we were both surprised by the large portion sizes thinking we’ll never eat all this! We did however attempt to complete our feast which was made almost effortless considering how good everything tasted. Feeling absolutely stuffed we were again delighted by the bill. In short: Huge portions of incredible Japanese food at a great price.
