Robinsons Place KFC | Dumaguete Info

I thought the idea of a fast food venue was to, get food, fast. Great if you just need a quick top up of energy without ruining your appetite, while you’re on the go. But if you try the much anticipated KFC in Robinsons Place Mall all you’ll find is a bunch of giggling idiots running around like headless chickens.

I can appreciate the intricacies of waste management but to not cook most of the menu until it’s ordered is absurd. French fries: 5 minutes, Zinger: 15 minutes, Twister: 10 minutes, Salad: Not available. If you want chicken and rice, no problem but to be honest I don’t go to KFC to have chicken and rice. I go there to get something quick when I’m in a hurry. Besides, everyone knows the best chicken in Dumaguete is from Sr. San Pedro at a quarter of the price of KFC – OK, it’s doesn’t have the KFC secret blend of not much at all but it’s twice as tasty.

KFC Has improved considerably in the past few weeks. Maybe they have a new manager or staff, or maybe I was just unlucky before. I’ve been there four more times since my review above and each time the staff have acted very professionally, there was a steady flow of food being cooked in anticipation of customers buying it and the waiting times have dropped to more believable levels. Salads have gone from being eternally unavalable to prepared in 3 minutes or less sir and the whole dining experience has improved throughout.
