All its income is channeled back to improve its facilities and equipment in accomplishing the purpose for which it was established- to foster relevant and values-oriented education and training.
The school had a very modest beginning. Incorporated in 1972 as the Asian Institute of Electronics (AIE) by a man of vision, Mr. Constancio A. Sia and his wife, Mrs. Gloria D. Sia, it started operations in 1973 with only 300 students in a few rooms of the Prudential Bank Bldg. in Cubao, Quezon City. The student population grew to 6,000.
AIE has gained honors and awards for the high standard it maintained and the excellent quality of its graduates, many of whom emerge topnotchers in various examinations administered by the National Telecommunications and won both local and national championship in various Youth Skills Olympics in the electronics and computer application.
In 1993, AIE won the National Championship in the electronics division in the National Youth Skills Olympics sponsored by the National Manpower and Youth Council. By 1994, it garnered the National Capital Region championship in the same division and received a Rotary Club award for outstanding community service. After /two years, it again emerged champion in the Computer Servicing Category in the Metro Manila Youth Skills Olympics.
In June 1995, AIE, by virtue of Department of Education, Culture and Sport accreditation, was converted into a full-fledged college, the ACSAT (Asian College of Science and Technology).
The Transition from AIE to ACSAT did not alter the founders compassionate vision of operating a “skill and values-oriented educational institution” committed to help in the nations development through education using world-class and international standards. It continues with its tradition of training students to acquire adequate knowledge and relevant skills meeting the needs of business and industry.
Today, ACSATs main campus is the ACSAT CENTER at #1013 Aurora Blvd., Quezon City. The Center is an eight-storey building that provides a learning atmosphere with modern facilities such as Air-conditioned classrooms, LCD, OverHead projectors, complete Library facilities, Electronic Testing tools and Equipment, Networked VGA Computers, Internet Access, Audio-visual room, Gym, Simulated Hospital, Medical and Health Center and Modern and high-tech Caregiver facilities. Its Faculty and Administrative staff are professional and well-motivated.
In keeping up with the founders commitment to help provide first class education with international standards, campuses were established on various dates in strategic places in Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao.
ACSAT believes that true success is achieved through discipline and hard work. This is theh reason that it gives just as much importance in stilling discipline and developing resourcefulness, perseverance and positive work attitudes in all students through ACSATs values education seminars.
In July 2004, ACSAT bagged triple win by being the GRAND CHAMPION and the 5th and 6th runner up at the 2nd Annual SGETech Software Cup beating popular and bigger universities.
The Years 2004,2005 and 2006, gave ACSAT International Recognition by having an ECT Student as the Philippine Representative to the World Cyber Games International Championship in Italy. Regionally, ACSAT also won the Bronze medals in TESDA Skills on Electronics Application, both for the youth and open categories. It was also a Semi-finalist representing the National Capital Region (NCR) for the 2005 Globe G-nius search for Great G-Cash Idea. In the field of sports, dominance have been shown by the ACSAT’s Lightings-Basketball Male Divisions as CHAMPION in the Governors Cup Basketball Tournamnet in Dumaguete, CHAMPION, PRISAA Taekwondo in Cagayan de Oro to name a few.
ACSAT has continuously garnered several awards in various skills oriented competitors (Academics and Sports) through its comprehensive curricula, worldclass teaching standards and unwavering commitment to prestige and excellence. True to its mission-vision, ACSAT will always endeavor to achieve the best as it lives up to its vision of being YOUR SCHOOL OF SUCCESS.
