The Dugong Dive Center offers diving to guests of Club Paradise, El Rio y Mar, Vicky’s Guesthouse and Cashew Grove Beach Resort. Dimakya Island, home to Club Paradise, is a turtle nesting site. We boast an extensive hatchling rearing and release program.
Only 3 hours by banca from the Dugong Dive Center and Club Paradise Apo Reef offers very dramatic drop-offs down to about 400m. The steep walls are well covered with corals, sponges, tunicates, nudibranchs and slugs.The coral formation at the plateau is magnificent. Green and hawksbill turtles, and a multitude of fish including damselfish, butterfly fish, batfish, surgeonfish, snappers, fusiliers and trevallies are common.
Known as Philippine’s “last frontier,” there is a lot to see when you dive in Palawan. From national parks that are safe havens to a variety of marine life, to breathtaking wreck dives, there is something in Palawan for every type of diver, from the novice to the advanced.
Depending upon the time of year you visit for diving, you can expect to see many different marine species, from sharks and whales to rays and tropical fish. No matter what dive site you visit, you will see something ecologically unique in this environment.
