Swan lake is a well maintained pair of swimming pools in the north of dumaguete. The pools are both clean and well designed although some of the tiles are a bit slippery near the edges. Chemicals in the pool are also quite strong, affecting both my friends on my own eyes within minutes. It didn’t matter too much as we were only visiting for a short time but I would be caution on a longer visit.
A videoke machine is also provided at the rate of 100 peso / hour and although we didn’t use it we flicked through the well stocked song book. There are no snacks or refreshments available onsite but a fairly comprehensive shop is just 5 minutes walk around the corner. The CR facilities are clean and adequate for even large groups with numerous showers available and soap provided.
Unfortunately overall, our brief visit to Swan Lake Swimming Pool was a bit of a disappointment. In a party of five only two of us wanted to swim for about half an hour and when it was time to leave we were charged 75 peso each (including the two motorcycle drivers). It’s a real shame because it left us with little option but to cut our day short and go home. No negotiation was possible despite the drivers were obviously not part of our celebration group. I suppose you live and learn.
