Our Palawan Escapade Part 2

Bonding with some locals

Bonding with some locals

This is now my second article about our Palawan Trip. So after our island hopping, we went back to our hotel accommodation which is Telasfora hotel. We arrived around 5pm. So we had time to freshen up and rest for a while before having our dinner. My dad together with my boyfriend and uncle went to the market to buy some fresh sea foods and meat in the public market. At around 7 pm, we went to the beach side area and prepared our own dinner. With the help of some locals, we had our grilled squid, pork and chicken. It was a nice feeling to bond with the locals because they are so friendly and hospitable. So we had our dinner. We had some little talks and chat and at around 9 pm, I went back to the room because I am exhausted but I really enjoyed the island hopping . My parents stayed at the beach side with some locals until 11 pm as they enjoyed bonding with them and they were drinking beer. It was also our last night in El Nido.

On our third day, we woke up around 7 am for our free breakfast. After eating we went back to our rooms to prepare and pack our things. We will be leaving El Nido at 10 am. At exactly 10 am, we rode our van and traveled going back to Puerto Princesa. We had our lunch at a stop over near El Nido at around 12 noon. After our lunch, we went back to our van and continued our travel. We were tired so we slept during our travel. At around 3 pm, we reach the Vietnamese Village which is in Puerto Princesa. The village is handled by some Vietnamese Families and they offer their home made food. This families our some survivors who had lived their entire life in Palawan. Their food was great and tasty with a little taste of chilies and fresh basil. They also have their freshly baked bread. Their place also has a unique architecture. When you rome around the place, you would feel like you are also in Vietnam. By buying their food and drinks, you are also helping their community sustain their source of income as that is their own way of living and maintaining their culture. After having our snacks, we rode our van again. We are already in Puerto Princesa so we are already near to our next accommodation which is in the City near the downtown area.

We reached Jlais place at around 4pm. So we went to our respective room by family. We had a liitle time to rest and freshen up as we prepare for our dinner at one famous pizza house in the City. At 7 pm, we went to McCoy’s Pizza House. We rode their local tricycle and the fare is 8 pesos each. We reach the restaurant at we ordered our food. We order pasta, chicken and pizza. After 15 minutes, their food was already served.  Their food was so delicious. We were really satisfied with our food and we were so full. After our dinner,  we went back to our hotel and we had our rest because we will have another tour for the next day.
