Mooons Cafe | Dumaguete Info

Mooons Café in Robinsons Place Mall was a lucky find. I was drawn in by the copious amounts of people eating there whenever I visited the cinema. Sure enough, when I ventured in through the doors I was not disappointed. I was greeted by a team of attentive staff who meticulously check on their customers, have good knowledge of the menu items and who are polite and efficient. To tell the truth I was blown away before I even got the menu. The menu held a huge variety of food and drinks; it was well designed and matched perfectly the elaborate decor (including some great flower petal ceiling fans). I was hungry at the time so I ordered a Beef Bourguignon and some Baby Back Ribs however I wasn’t expecting half a pig to arrive, perfectly cooked in delicious barbeque sauce. Thankfully the Aberdeen Angus Beef Bourguignon with excellent real mashed potato was a more manageable size or I wouldn’t have managed it all. Having said that, I couldn’t move for nearly an hour. Partly because I was stuffed and partly because I was enjoying the whole experience so much.

There are really no negatives I can think of except for limited seating – limited only due to how busy the place is but I hope they don’t expand, the location, size and ambiance is perfect. Nestled between the cinema and the back car park it serves as an convenient jewel in the crown of Dumaguete City.

Great job Mooons
