To be held at the historic Silliman University in Dumaguete, in this one day workshop, Jay Alonzo takes out the mind confusing jargon and complexity of today’s digital cameras. It breaks down and makes plain the essential things you need to learn in taking pictures so you can capture your subject perfectly and create images that captivate attention and interest. You will be surprised as to how simple yet effective, Jay’s approach is. In this class, you will:
Discover the often ignored controls that immediately produce creative results, regardless if you are a compact digital or a high end digital single lens reflex camera user such as:
How to get the right colors in your photo
Setting the right resolution based on your photo requirement needs or use
Using the appropriate ISO for different lighting conditions and subjects
Be able to capture images of the right brightness
Learn how to bring these controls all together to create high impact, emotion enriched photographs
Teaches you how to find the best way of capturing your subject to get the maximum impact
The workshop also tackles how to manage and file your photos
If you are not a die hard camera buff nor up to learning the complicated features of a professional camera but simply want to get better photographs, then this is the right class for you. And the best part is, JayA’s lessons apply regardless what equipment you are using. Although discussions will center on the basics of image making via a camera, it is the objective of Jay Alonzo to make the participants come up with images that need not much, if none at all, post processing and cropping images; just like the way film photographers have done through out the ages.
Students should bring a digital SLR camera preferably, thou a digital compact camera can do. No previous knowledge or experience is required.
