We had a visit from our bgy captain this morning along with police man asking about a stranded u.s citizen and what they should do. Apparently he went to the consulate and there was no help from them.
He has no relatives in the u.s so is stuck here with no money and no pension and needs to find cash for a ticket home.

I have to wonder what his plan was coming here? Perhaps he was out of a job in the U.S. and out of money and found his way here, or maybe a failed relationship. A group formed at McDo last year to assist fellas in need. I wonder if the can help?

At least you don't have to worry about being cold when you are homeless.

Well of course, some do just that, behind most things, is a woman. For me, as it seems the US Consulate are not going to help? (and i am not sure I can believe this)[IMG] I guess the Foreigners Embassy at Mc' Do's will be his next port of call, lets see just how Good they are, at what they proport to be! Helpful! or just Wind [IMG]

OK so lets look at this with some Logic? if there is any Logic. The guy is 60, he has to have an Onward or Return Ticket to leave the US. Let alone be here! At 60, one would have thought he was at least, a little Street wise, The Girl was not as it seemed Girl? Married and two Kids. For me. start Peddling [IMG] turn Round 3 times[IMG] have a beer or two and have a day or two or 3 even in Town and catch your Flight back. Nough said Guys and Gals.[IMG]

We work closely with a local charity and frankly I had rather use my money to help feed and clothe some of the local children than to help some guy that is thinking with his little head. To me the question is simple, feed a starving child or give money to a guy that may or may not use the money to get back to the US. I have been scammed in the US by people with a gas can saying they had run out of money and if I would loan them money they would send it back. I loaned them money on two occasions with no return money and then see them again in the same location scamming someone else. I'm sorry guys but my soft spot is not with deadbeats that want everyone else to help them because they are either too lazy or too stupid to fend for themselves.

I have to agree Cletus, there is NO WAY I would be relocating if I did not have a regular monthly income to keep me going! At least I have a safety net should the rug be ripped out from under me. To pick up and go to a Country with no money, no reliable income, HOW do you survive or; what are you thinking??
