    Ha, Ha, No! I thought I had Cocked up a Post, then for some reason it went off OK, I thought maybe you had Put it right for me. All is well and I guess my Connection had something to do with it Thank You, for the reply though

    airguns are a bad idea. with compressed air as propellant, the effective muzzle velocities would be hard pressed to reach 1000fps for a cal 25 24 grains JSB Kings pellet... which is hard to come by here in Dumaguete. The heaviest cal .22 available would be around 19 grains, with 900fps top velocity.

    a better option would be the old sling shot and steel balls as ammo. that should drive some sense into the heads of these motorcycle drivers who intentionally install noisy accessories on their motorbikes... just a thought.

    people drive motorcycles like they're playing a video game with no consequences..

    ya hafta wonder:
    - what's so cool about telling the whole barangay/mountain side that you're coming up the road on an under powered bike with a big noise.

    - why does a 125cc mc make more noise than a CERES BUS.

    - why people drive motorcycles like race cars?


    i've heard people say to people gunning a car motor when starting a car, ''let out the clutch, the fan won't pull it,''.
    guess for motorcycles, it'd be... ''let out the clutch, the exhaust won't push it.''

    personally, the noise made by motorcycles here has got me thinking about relocating...

    i mean, how many times do you have to twist the throttle to back up a motorcycle. jeeeesh, already...

    You have to learn the skill of "selective hearing" if you are to live in the Philippines (or invest in some nice noise canceling headphones). The chickens, motorcycles, karaoke, church.....I know it's there but I rarely "hear" it.

    I'm having trouble finding any reference to how the noise is supposed to be measured. I read noise pollution was covered in the Clean Air Act (R.A. 8749) but I saw no reference to noise in the law just skimming through it and searching for the word. Much like the US, Presidents in the Philippines cannot create laws via presidential decree, they can only say the need for the creation of such laws and inform the people how the administration will enforce the laws already on the books.
