    Hi folks.

Now i did try to search for this topic and was surpriced not to find any topics about internett in Dumaguete... Im shure this has been descussed many times but i just culdent find it so here goes.

Internett is a must! I live in Iloilo City and in general everything here is "Congested".We where fortunet to find a place where Globe gives me 4.2mbps on a steady basis. This is great but we have been talking about moving to Dumaguete....So i wonder whats the experiance when it comes to ADSL, Fiber, WiMax and so on... Is Fiber available even? For those living in Valencia. How is the interweb up there?

Hope to get a mental picture of how bad/good dumaguete is on this matter as this is a werry important luxury i need :-)

Dumaguete won't be any different. Seems to get more congested there every year.

Skycable? Whats that and what speed do you get?

Im shure they are not thinking any diffrently in Dumaguete then the rest of the contry...minus Manila i guess? They dont keep up with the demand. I think they are more interested in squeezing every peso out of what they have instead of providing a good product

In all seriousness since 2006 congestion and traffic of all types has tripled and it's getting worse every day. They build build build, but zero has been done to improve the infrastructure . The roads have not changed one bit, other than getting worse. Filling pot holes with plain dirt that turns to mud every time it rains and immediately washes out is not real smart, not to mention the constant dust from the dirt temporary repair job. I can see why there are so many front end alignment places and tire repair or replacement places. I wonder who owns all these businesses and would stand to lose 75% of their business if they actually fixed the roads anywhere near properly ? Just a thought. Vehicles here would last 3 times as long with better roads. Perhaps someone doesn't want that to happen ?
It's the old deal " Does a cancer doctor really want a cure for cancer or a preventive ? " " Does a dentist really want some vaccination that prevents all cavities ? "
Does the drug enforcement agencies really want all drugs stopped". "Does car manufacturing company really want a car to last 50 years ? And on and on.
At the current rate of growth and lack of road building I see grid lock increasing here everyday. Good luck 5-10 years from now. I think walking will once again become popular which will have many health benefits. That'll make the people that sell shoes" and sunbrellas'/umbrellas' happy.
Cheer up, things could be worse. LOL
    Have a fantastic day,

Maybe because you spell it internett and not internet?
I used Bayantel for my business. Never had any problem with disconnections and they always delivered the bandwidth I paid for. Not the cheapest actor, but by far the most professional I used here. (Tried Globe and PLDT as well. Globe.). They have up to 100Mb connections, at quite high prices, but it depends on what you need it for.
Globe is slower than what you pay for, and their customer service is completely clueless. They have no idea what so ever.

All the doctors that treat diseases/sicknesses would love more people to be walking and breathing in all the crap being spit out the exhaust of the vehicles here.

Funny you say that. I am using my cell phone here in Afghanistan to tether internet to my computer and it is faster than my Globe internet in Dumaguete. Pretty sad that Afghan cell internet is better quality than the crap being sold in the Philippines.

Actualy i often get faster internett trugh my phone then on my Globe (Witch im also happy with as of now). On ouer phones, if its a newer type, we have 4G/LTE. THats a werry fast internett solution and here in Iloilo there are some ereas covered with LTE trugh SMART mostly but Globe some ereas.

    Is there LTE in Dumaguete?
