So a new twist, The Department of Justice ( Which runs the BOI) has decided to close on the 24th and reopen on the 5th January. I read this somewhere else so I telephoned Dumaguete Office and as usual they don't know. The girl told me they had not been told yet the actual days they will be closed.
has anyone out there information on this. Surely the BOI won't close for such a long time or am I looking up my backside again?

If you are an employer it might be good to know that you are only obliged to pay salary on holidays. A non-working day the employee's don't have to work, but they don't get paid if they don't. So, they would be better called non mandatory working days. As, when faced with legal salary deductions, most employee's prefer to work.
