Does anyone know of an electrician ,preferably someone they have used and knows what he is doing..
we are around the airport area..
when we moved in the sparky the landlord uses hooked up the hot water without turning the power off
so i know its a dodgy job:eek:, and aircons and hot water have no circuit breakers....so it is just a matter of time
till someone is fried...thank you

Install a ground fault circuit interrupter as a main for all circuits. At least you know it will trip before someone dies.
But, be sure it's connected properly, and that they don't replace it. We had a problem with one always tripping. The "electrician" concluded the GFCI was malfunctioning and replaced it with a bigger regular breaker
I noticed as the staff was using a towel when they touched the ice grinder. "Sir, it's grounded".
"No, it's NOT grounded, and that's the problem."
Instead of finding the problem, they circumvent it by disabling the safety measures I've taken to protect THEIR lives.:mad::mad:

My Sparky can only work Weekends as the Evenings are so Short, unless he can do what you need with partial power on for lights. PM me a telephone Number and I will get him to Ring you if you have not got sorted. Soonish:rolleyes:

Go to Polaris electrical supplies and then ask at the left side counter (down the 2 stairs) about their electricians. They have in house electricians and they have the best supply of proper supplies on the whole island. They will hook you up properly....
