As anyone whose read my posts over the years will understand, things will just throw you for a loop; fortunately I have a great girl with Cherry that just straight up handles things. As much as I love it here I am honestly getting bored, I want to get back to work; spending 24/7 here has been great but I'm not ready to be retired quite yet. Shawn
War is about over, better get on it. I'm sure someone is next on the list though. Iraq is picking up again....they need those "advisers" over there.
Good point, and Libya is getting very hot also, same problem as Iraq and Afghanistan, get rid of the naughty Dictator who has been keeping the lid on everything, then the whole place explodes in every direction making the problems worse than they were.
I think I've had enough of that side of the world. I had a company contact me about an embassy project in Belgium...heard they have good beer. I really want to go to Africa if possible, talked to a company about work in the Congo and Rwanda. We'll see what happens. Shawn
I lived in Belgium for a while. Some of the best gourmet food in the world and tough to beat a cold Stella Artois beer - 5.2% ABV.
I'd prefer to take my chances in Afghanistan than those two locations. Hasn't "ethnic cleansing" been the official national sport there for the past couple decades? o_O FYI: I'm sure you know, but don't make the mistake I did and take more than 2 years off. The older we get the harder that SF86 gets to answer. It's not as difficult to get those positions as one might think. https://www.clearancejobs.com/ Helps to have one of those security clearance things though.
Well. Good day to you Guy's Am I really thinking of retiring to Philippines? I am thinking of openning a boarding house here in UK, anybody interested :D Sanitation will always be a problem in the provinces, but hey there are no excuses in developed places. Even a cat cover's it's own sh.t with soil!
