    Not in the Legal sense, the Kings wife would be called his Queen but rarely in British History is the Queens Husband called the King.
    Many other Countries do call them King and Queen as in Spain and I believe Denmark but Britain have always called the Husband of the Queen, the Queens Consort, Why I am not too sure but that is the peculiar Historical things we do in the UK The Monarchs name would always come first so it is not right to say Queen and King (masculine dictation prevails)

    As a side. Prince Philip is /was the nephew of the King of Greece so his Princehood comes from that. His Dukedom came from the marriage
    Princess Elizabeth Of England Married Prince Phillip of Greece. in 1950/51 I believe it was, she was called back from Honeymoon on the death of her Father King George the 6th, this made it unsafe for the Heir Apparent to be in Africa where she was at that time. BTW Phillip is a Battenburg, They changed the name to Mount Batten during WW1

    Just as an addition to this, IF Edward the 8th (The Queens Uncle) not have Abdicated and still married Mrs Simpson as the Law now says he could have, [the law Changed so Prince Charles could marry Camilla after he Divorced Diana], (Talk about Corruption):facepalm:
    our Queen would not have been Queen at all and this Mess would have not hit the news as it has.

    Also Us members you would have then had a direct link to the British Monachy, ( Mrs Simpson Being an American.)

    All this royal family stuff reads to me the same as when my girlfriend tries to explain her drama-drama shows. I know not who the characters are, I don't know who has done what to who in the past.....and I simply don't care what happens to any of them. Lol

    Sometimes ignorance is bliss. For the life of me I can't figure out why brits give a flying f*ck about the "Royal" family. They openly admit they are better than you.

    Well of course you are right, I have got used to it now though, mainly because now, I have others telling me they are better than me, namely the Commissioner of Immigration and his lackey in the field office here in Dumaguete. But and there is always a but.........
