The guy in question was acting like he was blind to try to gain access to the mall with his dog. The Philippines is not the first country he has attempted this little act.

I wonder if he was "acting" or people assumed he was trying to act like he was blind. And, in contrast he is not blind and from what I understand he has never claimed to be blind.

This has been a key issue with his illness and his need for an assistant dog.

Correct me if I am wrong.

No! you are correct on the Blindness he never actually claimed he was, it was assumption from many but he certainly played on the fact.
Many Including some here were not aware at the time that his illness? was of a seizure nature that the Dog apparently, could foretell was going to happen (an on coming seizure) but many of us that have come across Mr Cohen, say his Stare, was very, is very reminiscent of a Blind persons stare and it is no wonder that assumptions were made.
As I write this I can say that his extensions from the BOI are still in abeyance so I am not sure what is happening.
I guess he will be an over stayer at this time as his case as far as I can gather, is still being looked into.

I read somewhere a couple of days ago he was trying to get the persona non grata lifted to stop him being deported.

Yes Davy you are right but as I remember, it was Poo Pooed by City Hall and had to go up to the next Level and I believe that committee only sit once a Quarter. Whatever happens, his Fine for over stay is going to get bigger  Which I guess he will have to pay before he is allowed to leave or get deported.

Hmmm. Looked far from having any disabilities to me also, walked normally to the car and drove off with his dog! I think he may be living somewhere with the pink flying pigs.

I don't think it is possible to educate some people regarding his illness. Some people just cannot grasp the idea that if it does not show outwardly it is not real. His dog can sense when this man will have a seizure. He can then stop what he is doing and address it.

Ah my friend there lies the Problem he did not stop and address it, he used it for his own Ends, whatever those ends were. This is the main reason he became unpopular and a nuisance.:frown:
