    not just the elderly..What about the handicapped ?? and not to mention all the others who walk around and have to walk on the road (dangerous) because of motorcycles blocking the sidewalk..Miguel

    If they acted like other law enforcement officers they could supplement their monthly incomes. :smile:... but of coarse the current law enforcement officers do not want competition.:devilish:

    i'm pretty sure the OP was talking about duma, not rome, have you tried driving on sidewalks in rome?
    so, if you drive on the streets AND the sidewalks (in duma), where do you suggest us old farts, women and children and fat people walk without fear of getting injured?

    They have over 400 thousand unpaid tickets.... they have hundreds of motorcycles operating at night without lights..... I could list a hundred other violations of Philippine laws..... they have their own priorities....and bikes cluttering sidewalks are not even on the list..... they either can not or simply wont enforce laws they do not think are important..... and as most bikes belong to wealthier Filipinos.....do not hold your breath waiting for anything to be done

    take a page from the Filipino handbook....adapt..... learn to laugh at these things....
