 While doing my Extension for March to April last week, I had to go see Peter Bueno, he Informed me that if I didn't know it, my 3 years is up in June and I will have to do a visa Run, this I knew and am busy getting Sorted for Azon and I to take a long Week end away, BB when we return to give me A break from the 2 monthly bad day out at BOI.
Anyway, It Transpires that although we have until Sept 30th to do the ARP Application, we can't leave the PI until it is done. You need the SSSR number that you are given when you go for your ECC, No number no ECC So Guys and Gals, if your are like me having to or just need to get away and you have been here over 6 months, you need to do the ARP application ASAP.
I went yesterday at 9.30, the Form was already completed, Photo attached.
I had my Interview with Peter at about 9.50 and walked out with my Certificate clipped to the Passport. at about 10.15

Just a Heads up on this as I would not like to see anyone booking Flights, Going to Cebu for the ECC only to be told No can Do you are not Registered. Something that the Memorandum from Mr Mison never said, he just said I will give all foreigners a year to do this. Not, you cant leave without doing it.

BTW if you do it when your ACR is valid it is Free, if you do it after, it is $50

    JFYI:wink:

Jack, what kind of visa do you have? The mandate states if you have a permanent visa or a 13 marriage visa, you do not need to do the ARP registration.

Pat, I got Knocked back in 2012 from a 13a to a 9a for non Reporting for 2 years as I was in Spain and they stopped Embassy's doing the Yearly reports. You will need to check your records for an SSSR number if you don't have this then I guess you need to go to BOI. As usual, there may well be a communication issue between them and the man.

Sorry Jack, I forgot you told me that before and I forgot. Didn't want others to be confused. Where are you planning on going for your getaway?

Jack, for an affordable local getaway, we go stay at my pal Mike's Dauin Beach Resort. I have friends that also go locally to Thalatta Beach Resort in Zambo. No flights to worry about and good food and drinks.

Will Mike give him a boat ride over to Malaysia? Or has he had his resort declared it's own country?

If you are taking your wife I've got nothing. If you are traveling as a single man I could make a few suggestions.
