Whilst out and about yesterday in a local Resto they had globe lte, asked what they thought about the service they were getting. As of this time they were signed up to the 2 Mbps service and was very good, they also mentioned they were not getting 2 mbps but between 12-17 mbps but how Lang this will last I dont know. The cost was p1,295 per month which is also good. Along with the service you get a landline which is portable anywhere in the Philippines and free to globe landlines, mobile and also the same tm. This phone looks like a portable and re chargeable phone we get back home but more mobile. Does anyone else have this service and your thoughts would be good?
I would sign up for it if it was available up in Valencia. Last year I used the service quite a bit when I was in town (and in the area they had coverage). They had a P50/day code you text to a number as well as 1k/month (or maybe it was 1.5k). It was extremely fast but the coverage was very limited at that time. You should also note that having your phone connected to an LTE signal drains the batter very quickly. And isn't a portable landline phone just a mobile phone with a land line number attached to it?
We applied and all was Good UNTIL! they came to install and they could not get a Signal Apparently if they can't get a certain number reference up they will not put the service on. You will have to be in a very good receiving Area to get this service, to me, there are not that many Good Areas receiving the sort of reception that would make this service viable to the customer. As Dustin has already said, it is a Mobile Phone with a Land line number, if the Globe Coverage is Crap then the phone is of no use. JMHO JP
