Manila - A five-yearly survey by the Food and Nutrition Research Institute of the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) from 2013 shows that rice is the number one food of Filipinos. 2nd place in the survey is salt, 3 cooking oil, 4 coffee, 5 sugar, 6 bread, 7 onion, 8 garlic, 9 eggs and ranked 10 soy sauce.
Farther in the Top 20; at 11 pork, 12 vinegar, 13 Vet sin (a flavor enhancer of the sodium salt of glutamate acid, one of the most common naturally occurring non-essential amino acids), 14 quick cooking noodles, 15 chickens, 16 cookies, 17 tomatoes, 18 eggplant, 19 milk powder and completes the top 20 foods by bananas.
The survey also shows the sad fact that Filipinos wasted each year an average of 3.3 kilos of rice perv person. Converted the Filipinos waste about 7.3 billion PHP rice a year, enough to feed more than two million people. KR 03/30/2015 - 3:30

:eek:This is no Surprise then, to see that the I am to a degree, like many Stroke Survivors living somewhat in the wrong place if not watched very carefully.
White GM Rice is not that good for our Diets either, so I have gone onto brown Rice and Back to Potatoes.

I don't think there has been any proof that anything genetically modified is bad for you.
