We bought a ton of various tools/equipment when building the house; to include a cement mixer, water pump, generator and plate compactor. We talked about advertising these items for rent (I don't want to sell as I know I will need them later) but we never did. Yesterday one of our former workers contacted the wife saying that himself and a few other of the workers have been hired to build a house for an expat and he wanted them to use a cement mixer (smart) and wanted to rent one. I was actually surprised it started up with minimal effort as it sat idle for so many months, I thought we'd be calling the small engine mechanic we have used often. It was really shocking to see how they towed it out using a trike, piece of wood and some rope...should have taken a picture. It got the wife thinking as we have the other stuff, out of the weather, but just sitting around. I suggested getting one of those canvas signs printed out and putting it on the back of the trike. So that is her plan now. There is actually a lot of construction going on in Tanjay, so she may get some responses from that...we will see as this will be her thing to handle. Shawn
Those printed posters are cheap... 10-15 P per square foot as I recall... you can get grommets also. Just take your artwork to one of the poster shops, although they can probably do artwork for you. Mike Alano, the fisherman on here has a shop and you can send him the artwork. I do everything through email with him, and just pick it up. Although he has not done posters for me, other things he has done have been great and timely (very fast) . PM me if you want his email. @Mike Alano @ShawnM
Went to a shop today here in Tanjay to get a couple made up, with grommets. I wanted 2'X2' but they kept arguing about the size as it was not a standard size, whatever?, but got the size I wanted. I ordered 2, one for the trike and still not sure what I'll do with the other one yet. 350 peso and they will be ready tomorrow. No artwork, just white with black lettering. Shawn
