Cement we got from JB Hardware in Duma. On hindsight we have found at 235php to be VERY expensive and have found cheaper since.
Steel Bars we got from JB Hardware as will - these appear to be a good price compared to what i read here and noted some of the suppliers "tricks" i noted here.

The Blocks (2500) came from RJJL (Sibulan) at 7php each. We set a budget estimate of 8php each - thus for the fence we thought we had a good deal.
We have indications now that we can reduce that further as well.

Gravel Fine / Coarse was 500php / 450php per cubic. Again from RJJL (Sibulan).

Another reason we are not too happy with our supervisor - we (I do) suspect he made a special deal with RJJL and kept the change.

You need to use crushed gravel, 3/4 inch max is standard for 3000 psi concrete, using round river stone is a mistake. Don't let anyone tell you that crushed gravel is not available...beams, as your post indicates, you are working on the fence first (same as I did, which is the best way to go). Once you get going on the house you need a mix to give you 3500 psi, in my opinion.

Be careful with the block work, most block is junk and you have to push the workers to fill the cores if not, your "strength" comes from the rendering which can be inches on each side if they don't get things plumb right away.

You are in my neck of the woods as well as another member who happens to be in Tanjay at the moment; I'd be more than happy to stop by with the wife as we can pass on some guidance on what we went through.

Hi there. There is a Facebook Page in Dgte named BID FOR ME!!! ANYTHING THAT'S FOR SALE!!! Better!!! You can tell your wife or a friend to post your inquiry there as it's not only all about selling things there but you can also look for services.

    Hopefully this helped

    Guys,

Would love to catchup here in Tanjay. CB Grilles has become our favourite place (airconditioned) and service / prices are fine.
Not too big or small. And they serve beer - my latest aquired taste is SM flavored beer (lemon). Weird but tasty.:wacky::smile:
