We have a globe landline along with our internet package and since last week around 7-8 pm we are getting nuisance calls from globe. Every night I pick up the phone and it's the same thing in Tagalog, a ask them to speak English and they always ask for the wife, I tell them they can speak to me and what's the problem. Sir hang up the phone and they start blabbing in Tagalog again! I'm pretty sure it's the same sh*t as usual and wanting to sell her a mobile package, we have told them on numerous ocassions we do not want and never will want any monthly contracted phone from them! They just don't ever give up. Does anyone else have this problem from globe?
Constantly but mine is from Smart (PLDT) We wrote a very strong email to them and they tried to ignore this. I complained to the Local office and they said it was there prerogative to do this. NO! I said it is a nuisance call and I don't want it. we already have Smart accounts for mobiles, In fact we both have duel Sims for that never ending coverage issue. My Wife told them they would be Reported to the DTI and Communications Agency and then the Police as a nuisance. Davy it has Stopped. JP
Have just done that jp, pretty much what you have mentioned, these people really do try your patience and when they tell me they will only talk to the wife I just hang up!
As I said Davy My Wife made the complaints but my Daughter deals with nuisance calls with LOUD Music down the Phone They Don't like it Up Em Mr Mainwairing ( Oops sorry Brit Pun here.) JP
I don't get those calls in the Phils, maybe because I never answer the phone ;-) I do get on my Swedish line though (VoIP phone). If I have nothing better to do I take my time to talk to them. Ask questions. Drag out the call as far as I can. They get all exited when they realise they are about to make a sale. When they come to the selling part I'm very interested in getting their product. When they ask for the my address and I give up my Santander address they gets very sad and quiet. Some even angry because I didn't tell them in advance, but wasted 30 min of their time. Well, I enjoy it every time.
The great thing about living in the Philippines is that most of us have a whole lot of free time. Have some fun with it and mess with 'em.
yes same here i say hey i am not interested, first question is what do you want? then say i told how many times not interested then hang up, same on my cp
I complained to Globe at Robinson's about such calls to my landline. The agent put through a stop order and even gave me a confirmation number. This worked for a few months, then it started again. I have the land line disconnected until I want to make an outgoing call. I do NOT endorse abusing the sales agent or playing games.
